History

10Power’s vision is restoring a regenerative trajectory for the evolution of our species on planet earth. We believe that all of humanity needs to “Re-indiginize,” a term coined by Cody Two Bears of Standing Rock. Indigenous wisdom, combined with modern science, as Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK), is the key to reversing climate change and returning to a restorative and regenerative relationship with each other and our ecosystem.

10Power’s mission is 100% renewables for 100% of humanity. When the company launched there were 1.2 Billion people on the planet without electricity. Today that number is projected to be around 775 Million. It is critical that this energy be generated from renewable sources.

The current estimate of Tribal households without electricity is 14%. 10Power is committed to supporting Native Nations in being leaders in the green revolution.

10Power was launched in 2015 in Haiti with the goal of providing clean, green energy in a place with some of the world’s most expensive and lowest access to electricity. We work together with local partners to develop and finance renewable energy projects and train community members with attention to gender equity. We see renewable energy as the key to clean water, healthy food systems, regenerative economics, livelihood improvement, education, and access to technology.
