10Power is a renewable energy project developer that prioritizes community benefits and energy sovereignty. Integrating a climate justice and workforce development program with a gender equity lens into every project, 10Power works hand in hand with communities to create energy solutions that not only reduce carbon emissions but create social justice.
Grant Application Support
Our grant services begin with tracking opportunities to identify the best funding sources for your projects. The 10Power team works alongside your team, providing expert assistance with grant writing and guidance through the application process for grants. Once funding is secured, we are involved with implementation, and provide ongoing support with reporting and compliance.
Expert Collaboration
Energy resources have unique geographic considerations, especially when navigating sacred sites. 10Power’s experts will work with your experts, bringing experience in energy projects and climate initiatives including Solar PV, Energy Storage, Solar Thermal, Energy Efficiency, Bio-Energy, Geothermal, and Regenerative Agriculture & Food Systems.
Strategic Energy Planning
10Power has secured grants to support Strategic Energy Planning for Tribes, which is a great starting point for understanding resource availability, conducting initial feasibility analysis, documenting the communities goals, and prioritizing projects.
Integrating Traditional Knowledge
Indigenous wisdom combined with other science is the path forward to a regenerative future. Documenting, integrating and protecting Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) into project process, design, implementation, lifespan, and community impacts is at the heart of what we do.
Workforce Development
Providing pathways for Tribal members to secure well-paying jobs in renewable energy industries is core to our work. Every project includes a training program with a gender equity lens. Through our partnerships, 10Power has access to a Tribally owned microgrid test lab offering trainings in solar and storage all the way up to utility-scale.
Tribal Utility Support
Establishing a Tribal Energy Development Organization (TEDO) or a Tribal Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is a powerful step toward energy sovereignty. 10Power is here to support with partnerships and playbooks to guide the formation of a Tribal Utility.
Operations and Maintenance
Operations and Maintenance, or O&M is a critically important piece of any project. All of 10Power’s projects create a budget for O&M and we can assist with scheduling and remote monitoring, if desired. O&M is also a great place to create local jobs and involve community members. 10Power is committed to creating training programs and O&M jobs for Tribal members.
Sourcing Investments
With experience in assembling creative capital stacks, 10Power will help source financing that provides the maximum benefits to the community. This may include: gap financing from non-profits, philanthropic grants, family offices, Investment Tax Credits (ITC), New Market Tax Credits (NMTCs), bridge loans, and traditional solar investments.
Community Engagement
Listening with a humble learner perspective is at the heart of what we do. The community members are the experts in the challenges they face and potential solutions. 10Power takes a community-centered design approach to our work.
